no interest in sex after Hysterectomy Posted: 12-28-07 23:16pm
My wife of 30 years had one and she is now
non-sexual at all. I feel sorry for her.
Is there anything I can do to help?

I had my hysterectomy 6 years ago.. I am
now 36. I don't feel very sexual towards
my husband of 16 years. Its upsetting for
him as he feels unloved at times. but i
just dont feel the need or want anymore. I
think the longest we went without sex was
7 months. I do have sex with him time to
time but more through his need rather than
mine.
Im not sure if its a mental block thing..
you know.. whats the point I cant have a
baby so lets just go sleep.
Im willing to listen to anyones ideas out
there to try bring some loving back.

I feel that there is a way but no
confidence in that thought. 7 months can
easily turn in to 7 years. I don't like
the thought. What are the things
(actions, moods, environment, etc.), that
could make a difference? I am at a loss.
If there is a hysterectomy can there be
sexual pleasure. I am not sure what to
do. I have been supportive for a long
time. Love does not end. I will wait
forever as long as there is a chance of
regaining a meaningful relationship.
