Dante will be 3 weeks old on Monday and he has already caught a cold. Crying or Very sad He's had it for about 3 days now. He has a runny nose with a cough and sounds pretty congested. His temp is 98.4, so he's not running a fever. Is there anything I can give him to help clear the cold up, or will it just pass on its own? Thanks.

Very Happy

You should pump his nose with the nose pumper thing. See if it's okay to use a humidifier and maybe a little bit of vicks vapor rub on his chest or some vapor bath in his water. Check with your dr. first. I don't bring Ava to the dr. anymore for a cold. All I do is the vicks, vapor bath, humidifier and pump her nose before eating and before naps and bedtime. She hates it but it's the number 1 thing that makes her feel better.

don't put the vapor rub on him, put it on your chest and lay him on you. you could also try running a hot shower and sitting in the steamy bathroom with him. keep an eye on him! this could easily turn into rsv.
