Actually eating feces and drinking urine are both unsafe. Yes, it is true that urine is sterile but that is only so long as it does not come in contact with the urethra. The urethra has bacteria and once urine comes in contact with it it becomes infected and could cause infection if it penetrates your stomach defenses (i.e acid, enzymes, etc). Similarly feces are laden with bacteria and can result in a serious health hazard if eaten
Your poop is safe as long as you don't have a GI infection. And if you do, you won't be thinking about eating anything anyway (especially not poop, I would assume). It's probably actually good for you and would have some nutritional value as the bacteria in your gut would break down some of the fiber you couldn't digest the first time. I'm not willing to do the study to find out if it has measurable health benifits, but it defiantly wouldn't be unhealthy in moderation. It's packed full of probiotics and is high in fiber. Poop really just needs a better PR guy.
