Husband Lying About Money
Posted: 12-28-07 06:03am

Hi guys, I need your advise on somethings I know that I might be married for nearly 10 years next year, but that's what it call marriage life, ups and down.
Last night I discovered that my husband have some money in his wallet which was not supposed to be there, when I asked he seems reluctant to tell, this morning I asked again, he said that he was supposed to pass the money to someone. Recently he took out some cash he told me it was this amount, after a few days I recieved a note from the bank saying it was another amount. I know he lied but I try not to confront him with it but it's killing me inside.
I can stand most of the things that he do like not wishing me on my birthday but I can't stand being lied to.

You don't think it is illegal activity, do you?
Follow him, or get a friend to with a camera.

He insist that the money was given to him from a friend for him to pass to another, I don't think it's anything illegal but he likes to help other and get himself into trouble instead without telling me - I only get to know about it afterwards. I HATE it when the family will be put in a difficult position like the other time when he became a gurantor, the debtor ran he got to face the music. I can't trail him one because I don't have a licence to drive second I don't know anyone who is willing to do it. He said that he don't need to tell me or give me an explanation on what he will do as it is his money, I don't care much about the value of the money but what is the money for, how did he get it, from who and why he didn't tell me rather then I found out about it myself.

Well, that isn't right for him to call it HIS money.
If you're married, the money is shared.
That's why everything gets divided 50/50 during a divorce.
You have every right to know what is being done with the money.

As for where he got it, it sounds really fishy to me that a friend gave him money to pass on to another friend. Why is that necessary?
Why couldn't the friend just give it to the other friend theirself?
The only reason I can think of is illegal activity.

Husbands and wives should never have secrets from each other. EVER. If you need to hide something from your spouse, chances are, you aren't supposed to be doing it.

He needs to have more respect and care for you than anyone else in the world, even his own self.

Why is it that you do not drive? You need to get a license so that you can take care of yourself, because this might be only the beginning of something serious. If he's hiding the money situation from you, there could be quite a few things you don't know about, especially if you're not getting out much.
