Q: foot bones cracking, affecting balance

I was born two months premature, and I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but the bones in my feet are always cracking. Normally, it takes just a twist of my foot for a bone to pop, and that doesn't seem quite right. Also, when I jump or hop on one foot, most of the time, my bones crack. It's really starting to frustrate me, and I would like to know if that could lead to any physiological problems. I have a lot of balance issues and had to temporarily stop figure skating lessons because the basic excercises were becoming too difficult for me!! Any input would help mucho!!

it could be somthing called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome or the joints in your feet could just be hyper-mobile i have not heard of a condition like this related to premature birth there is a woman called midge who posts here you should try to hook up with her she knows a lot about this sort of thing
