Q: Overactive Thyroid And Getting Pregnant

I had a miscarriage last year at 11 weeks of pregnancy and am just now thinking about trying to get pregnant again. I was recently told by a doctor that I have an enlarged thyroid and to come back in 6 weeks and have my blood checked again. I know that problems with the thyroid can sometimes cause miscarriage and I am not sure if that was the cause. Do you think that it would be irresponsible of me to get pregnant without taking care of my thyroid problem first?
