Q: MS and paranoia linked ?

I have a friend w/ MS who is going through a divorse. She appears to me to be extremley paranoid about her husband. She has what appears to me to be a heightned anxiety level. She accuses him of all sorts of things, some of which are possible, and some of which have been throughly disproven. For example accusing him of tapping her phone, planting a bomb in her car, hiding a gun in the house, having an affair, providing her brother w/ drugs, causing his suiside. My question is, is there a link between MS and paranoia? She is being treated for depression, but her anxiety continues to be all consuming. I have done a lot of research on MS, and I am trying to be a supportive friend. Confused

No, paranoia is NOT part of MS however a person can have both.

I would question the depression medicine that she is taking and see if any of the side effects could cause this type of behavior. Also anyone who has experienced a divorce...it brings out all kinds of emotions, even strange, unexplainable ones.

Paranoia and MS
I have MS and suffered from very bad symptoms of paranoia. However, after using an anti-depressant my symptoms dissipated some.
It may work for you...
