I'm 13 and I started my period in June. Since then, instead of my period coming roughly every month, I have one, skip a month, have one, skip... etc. This has happened consistently, and I'm curious. Is this okay or is there something wrong?
Sorry if this is totally obvious... I'm kinda new to all of this Wink

It's fine and there's nothing to worry about. Never be afraid or feel silly for asking either!

It takes a long time for you to get a normal cycling period. The hormones just need a chance to build up in your system as you grow into an adult. Just think of your period as something that develops just like your breasts. They don't just become big overnight. They take time to grow.

Another thing is that you may just be someone who is going to have a longer cycle than most, and if it is, you can thank your lucky stars for that Wink

its fine, dont worry about it. Since you just started your period it can take years to get it to be regular and something you never will get it to be regular.

It's totally okay because you've just started. Don't worry about regulating it just yet; let your body do it. You don't need birth control or anything like that at this point. Let nature run its course!! I had my first period when I was 13 and then didn't have another one for five months!! My normal cycles are upwards of 40 days apart!
