Q: Loestrin 24 Questions

So I went to the gyno today...(very upset because I made an appt. for a female doctor, and it ended up being the male doctor there...the female won't be in until monday). But anyway....I wanted to talk about getting BC to take later in the year, if I decide to have sex..so he prescribed me and gave me a free sample of Loestrin 24 Fe. I have a lot of questions about it though..after reading about it online..and talking to my one friend...does it really stop your period after awhile...I don't want my period to stop...how will I know if I am pregnant? Also, how much does it cost? I heard it's really expensive.

I'm on it and I got a period and breakthrough the first 3 months and the fourth month I got nothing. Some women still get a period, I guess I don't. I think mine is 60 dollars for 3 months. PM me if you have more questions. Smile

Extremely eHealthy

I have been taking it for about 8 months and I still get a period although it is drastically shortened (from about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks to about 3 or 4 days).

Most women like their period to go away. If you're worried about pregnancy, you can always take monthly tests. It's kind've a waste of money but I did it to make myself feel better.

If you want to take monthly tests you can buy them online in bulk..they are really really cheap.
