There is no single diet plan to treat fibromyalgia, and the same foods may relieve symptoms in some patients while aggravating those in others.
Every fibromyalgia sufferer needs to check for certain foods if cause any worsening of symptoms and may need to adapt her or his diet accordingly.

Have you noticed worsening of you symptoms after eating certain foods?

Food and diet are a factor i think in a lot of medical problems. I know that if i eat a certain way things are worse and if i eat a different way things are different.

I did a little searching and here is what i came up with.

http://www.fibromyalgia-diet.ws/

Im hoping that this will help.

also try to avoid monosodium glutimate(msg) at all costs.

To overcome fatigue and to feel better you can try to avoid:
high fat dairy foods, fried foods, chocolate and white sugar and white flour, coffee, cigarettes, carbonated beverages, red meat (especially salt cured, cured bacon, smoked, or nitrate cured).
Don't forget to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.

thyroid as cause of fibromyalgia
The thyroid is the cause of almost all physical and mental problems.. This condition takes a lot of research and after 31/2 years I am still finding out new things. Doctors don't treat to a low enough level to eliminate all the symptoms. You cannot go by the TSH test you should be treated to where you feel the best regardless of what your TSH is. Don't let them tell you the old "your're going to be hyper trick". They will tell you anything to keep from treating. Some do not even know about the thyroid as it is no longer being taught in some med schools. An alternative or holistic practioner is your best bet. Good luck.

Some researchers believe that FM is caused by dysfunctions of the thyroid.
However, it's clear that thyroid problems appear to be certainly associated with FM. Many FM patients, also, suffer what is called mild hypothyroidism (fall into the "low normal" range and are struggling along without prescribed thyroxine because they are deemed "normal" ; a person may well fall within the "normal" range of TSH and thyroid hormones, but what is "normal" for one may not be for another).

Drinking alcohol in the evening may adversely affect the quality of sleep, increasing symptoms of fibromyalgia such as fatigue and pain.
Fibromyalgia patients should avoid alcohol completely when they are getting treatment with pain killers and muscle relaxants.

GOING RAW
I have heard from many that going RAW has helped them enormously. I have also that even just trying to eat more RAW helps as well. I am currently looking into it all. There is a great book called The Raw Food Detox Diet. It seems easy enough to get started and helps you understand once must not go 100% RAW to see the benefiets of a RAW diet

Oh goodness no. Smile I did think the same thign though. It means you go vegan - meaning you eat nothign from animals. No meat, milk or eggs. Then goign raw is one step further and not cooking anythign above 118 degrees.

A good resource is the book - The Raw Food Detox Diet

Fibromyalgia and Collagen
I have noticed that I feel much better during pressure changes in the weather when I take collagen everyday. My muscles don't ache as much and I don't feel like I was run over by a truck.

I do smell smoke though on and off, and understand that other FM patients do too.
