Here is a little background, let me know if you have any other questions if i did not explain everything fully.

-I am 24, 6'2 215 lbs. I fell on some steps a few weeks ago and dislocated my right shoulder. This is the second time i dislocated this shoulder, the first time was about 6 years ago. My shoulder obviously hurts, i may have messed up my rotator cuff, but i have not had an MRI yet so i can not say for sure.

My question is this...I have this feeling between my shoulder blades that feels like i have pins in my shirt. I know that this sounds strange, but it will feel like out of nowhere i get a couple of needles stuck in my back. I rub the spot, itch it, put pressure on it and nothing happens. If i leave the feeling alone for 10-15 seconds it goes away like someone pulled the needles out of my back. What is this?! I have been seeing an orthopaedic doctor but it will be 2 weeks until i see him again.

I also have a knot in my shoulder that i can put pressure on and it will radiate pain all the way to my fingers. i can atually follow the muscle? tendon? ligament? nerve? down my arm through my elbow and to my fingers with my other hand? Is this all from the fall or is there something esle going on here?

Hello Onetruth,

I would highly recommend that you call your doctor and explain the current situation to him/her. And then try to arrange an earlier appointment if at all possible. Perhaps he could authorize for you to have new MRIs done before you see him. In that way you would not be wasting any valuable time.

Wish you the best.
