Q: seizure condition and tongue tied

My husband does not have epilepsy that we know of but does suffer from an unspecified seizure condition. He also appears to be tongue tied and I was wondering if it would be dangerous to have his tongue untied since he could wind up swallowing it during a seizure when I was not around. Any thoughts?
