We started daily vitalins a month ago and are feeling reat (flax oil for omega oils, Vitamin C qnd Echinacea for immunity, Magnesium for muscles, Multivitamin for overall heqlth, B-complex vitamins for stress, and Vitamin E for yeast infections); Going well. But I need to stop eating so much mea, dairy, and breadst!!! My resolution is to find more vegetables to eat more often;

VERY FREQUENT - SMALL - LOW GLYCEMIC MINI-MEALS!!!

If I do this - I don't gain weight and feel fantastic - never sluggish.

If I overeat - especially proteins (even very lean) or carbs (I only eat whole grains and low glycemic fruits & vegetables) my metabolism seems to shut down...

I have to be careful and not allow myself to get too hungry - because then I eat more than I know I should - and become tired & bloated.

When going out, I always take walnuts & pumpkin seeds with me in bags- they stave off hunger, are very nutritious - and are low glycemic.

Some great foods to keep on hand:
AGAVE - low glycemic (very yummy) all natural sweetner!
BARLEY - low glycemic grain - I think far better than any other grain!
WALNUTS - low glycemic, rich in omega-3 - very portable!
PUMPKIN SEEDS - low glycemic, rich in lots of things...
LOTS of GREENS! They fill you up without shutting your metabolism down and making you feel full for too long...
SMALL amounts of Protein - too much makes me (not sure about you) feel full for TOO long... a feeling I do not care for.

How do you prepare your greens? Are you steaming them? How to bring flavor to greens?

When I say "Greens" I mean salads of lettuce, arrugula, etc... I usually just spritze a wedge of lemon or lime on it and sometimes a tiny amount of olive oil and SALT (we all have to have vices - and luckily, I have good blood pressure and can enjoy salt).

For Asparagus, Broccoli, etc... I sautee in water (sauteeing in unrefined oil usually breaks it down and negates the good qualities of the oils - especially low-smoke olive oil, etc)... sometimes I put veggies into the oven for a while at 400 degrees and roast - maybe with some lemon and parmesian cheese.
