I know theres a lot of these topics floating around, but I still don't feel like I know whats causing it, and its Christmas week, unable to contact EMTs, and the hospital is most likely filled with flu patients.

About 2 weeks ago my throat started swelling, hurt to swallow, hurt to turn my neck, and tender to the touch. Went to my family doctor and the nurse said it was most likely a throat virus, and told me to pick up some 20MG Prednisone tablets at the pharmacy to knock down the virus.

I started taking those and as soon as the swelling and pain started to clear up , the feeling that something is stuck in my throat began. So for the last week I've had this feeling 24/7, and it worsens towards the end of the day, or when ever I eat. Its making it miserable to even stay awake, I try to eat before I go to bed, so I can hopefully fall asleep before anxiety inevitably kicks in.

Any ideas anyone? I'm freaking out over here, its causing me to swallow over and over every second all day to clear my throat.

I know nothing about the throat, but it almost feels like what ever is causing this problem, is right near the epiglottis, maybe a little bit further down.

Sorry if this is kind of unclear, I'm having an anxiety attack just thinking about it. Feels like there is something large stuck in my throat, making it difficult to swallow saliva, but not effecting my breathing, or swallowing of food.

Is the feeling that the object is horizontally or vertically present in your throat?

Have you been to an ENT?
