edit - i think what im talking about is the "papillae" but im clueless so...

i don't think i have a "hairy tongue", but its like hair in a way. its almost as if my taste buds are up or something? the best example i can think of, is when your petting a dog or a cat, and you go against their fur, it sort of stands up, and if you go the opposite direction, its pushed back down and is flat again. if i push my brush towards the back of my mouth, the taste buds, hairy tongue, whatever it is, lays flat. if i pull the brush towards the tip of my tongue, they all stand up as if you were going against your pets fur.

i dont think i have hairy tongue based on the google images pictures, and maybe what ive gots normal? i dont exactly want to ask someone "can i examine your tongue? so yeah... and whats the best way to clean my tongue? buy a tongue scraper annndd any special toothpaste i should use or somthing?

thanks
