Could be a whole ton of things: lifting things that are too heavy for you, lifting things incorrectly, spinal problems and pinched nerves....I don't know what you're looking for with this question.

Ok what I am thinking is that there is a typo here and he "can't speak for a couple minutes" after lifting objects.

I would think that this is due to putting a very tough strain on your back and spine, effecting your breathing, and possibly your spine to brain functions. Just a guess. You should stop lifting things that are too heavy for you for one, and take a break from it completely for the time being.

Getting a CT and xray would probably be a very good idea.

Seeing a chiropractor will also help after you have had a diagnosis for your back from a doctor, and if surgery isn't an necessity or an option. If it is possible for you to still lift things, then he will also teach you the safe way to lift things so that you don't put yourself in a strain or come to harm.

Pain in chest, arms, legs and head
I have had chest pain that radiates down both arms, legs and head for 15 years. Doctors do not know what I am talking about.

If it's been there for that long, then maybe you are going to the wrong kind of dcotor. You could see a chiropractor and see if he can take care of the problem in a number of visits.
