sprained ankle not swollen Posted: 12-23-07 14:50pm
Yesterday morning, I went to sparring
class at my karate studio. After the class
was over, I realized that my ankle was
hurting, but I could still walk on it.
Later in the day, I practiced katas at the
studio for about an hour ( stupid, I
know), and when it was over my ankle hurt
worse. By the end of the day, I couldn't
stand on that foot at all. There wasn't
swelling or anything, it just hurt. So for
the night while I slept, I kept my foot
elevated, and by morning it felt a little
better. I haven't been walking on it at
all though, and I've wrapped it up and
kept it elevated. So now my question is,
am I doing the right thing? Is the ankle
sprained ? And how long do you think it'll
take to heal?

it is not possible for me to say how long
it will take to heal if you have torn or
strained some of your ankle ligaments you
are doing the right thing by resting it
though iceing it would be good to you
should not exersice on it until it has
completely healed
