Q: Strange Pain During Sex
asked by: AyaMiyaki on December 23rd, 2007
Especially eHealthy
For the last few months, I've been getting a sharp stabbing pain on one or both sides (near my ovaries, I'm assuming) during sex with my husband. We use plenty of lube, so that's not the issue. It only really happens when he goes hard/deep - it feels fine when he's taking his time and going slow. Problem: I can't get off when he takes his time. I like it hard and deep. Sad

It's just so strange that I don't feel pain inside my vagina... it literally feels like someone is stabbing me in the ovary and twisting the knife.

*frustrated sigh*

Any thoughts? Confused

He's hitting your cervix, and it's going to hurt no matter what... There's really no fix for that.

My... cervix? Confused Wow. I wouldn't have guessed that. Is it normal to feel cervix pain on the sides instead of in the middle? Also, I don't remember feeling this before I had my daughter... is it possible that childbirth had some kind of effect on my cervix?

(If these are stupid questions please let me know. Laughing)

Yes, childbirth can change the placement of your uterus and cervix slightly. It also descends during your normal menstrual cycle to be lower during ovulation. Of course they're not dumb questions!

I have had the same issue as well....if not the other thing is that you could have a kidney issue might not be something big but I would definitely bring this up to a doctor and have them check it out to make sure. I found out that it was not only my cervix yes...after childbirth but that I had a kidney infection as well. I had no symptoms of the kidney infection and did not know until I went and had it all checked out. You should definitely talk to the doctor and make sure that it isnt something bigger than just him hitting your cervix.

it's far from normal
women who have the pain of ovaries being stabbed and twisting with a knife is far from normal and should be seen by a doctor that's what i'm doing now, finally. after 4 kids maybe something did change, but my "baby" is about to be 9 and this severe pain has been going on for 1 1/2 yrs. i don't like going to the doctor, but i want to see my babies grow up! good luck to the suffers GET CHECKED !!!
