Holy moses, the weather is horrible!!!

They said on the radio for everyone to carry a first aid kit with them, and extra food and blankets in their car if you go out! I'm looking out the window right now and I can't even see across the street because it's snowing so hard.

& I have to work at 5.

Call in and be like..."It's snowing to the point where I can't see out my front door. I'm not coming."

LOL thing is, last weekend I called in and said I wasn't coming in (my mom told me to) & a few weekends before that I did too (my mom told me to) lol

I just don't want them to hate me.
but I put in my 2 weeks last night.

I love the snow, but I don't love it when we have to work.

haha news forcast for our area...

"Weather synopsis from Meteorologist Rachel Aissen - A DENSE FOG ADVISORY is in effect for the area until 6 AM this Saturday morning. Fog today created travel delays at the Peoria, Bloomington, and Moline airports grounding flights until this evening. Clouds and fog continue into the morning. By Saturday afternoon rainfall moves in. Saturday evening the storm pulls in enough cold air to switch over to snowfall. We'll see 1" to 4" by early Sunday morning. Portions to the northwest of Peoria will pick up the most while Bloomington will only see a dusting of snow."

Terra, it's not safe... you need to call in...
your life is more important than going in to work..
and plus what are they really going to do?
didn't you put in your 2wks yesterday?

maybe because i work in a family-run toyshop. all the customers are regulars and most of them are so nice, everyone is always so happy and nice at christmas. i love when it's wicked busy, i love the giftwrapping service we provide, i love it all!

terra, just call in. you already gave your notice so it's not like they'll fire you. if it's that bad they shouldn't even be open.

did you get a new job?

im sure they know what the weather is like outside.. they cant expect you to drive in it..

i got fired from Michaels because i wouldnt come in during a CAT 3 HURRICANE. The iwnds were so bad there were dumpsters being THROWN into the road.

Mhm.

needless to say the decision was turned over by the DM and the manager that fired me was terminated for *unrelated reasons* lol but yeah.. ppl are dumb.
