Well all i can say is.....never f*#ken again!!!!!LOL

I had the gel inserted about 12:30pm and i started getting pain straight away but i didnt start actual labour till about 5pm. By 7:30pm i couldnt stand the pain so they put me in the labour and delivery area and tried using the gas but it was making me gag and ended up throwing up.

Around 9pm my doctor came in to break my waters and to check how many centimetres i was. My waters ended up popping on there own as she was checking....i was 7cm.

The next hour was the most horrific of my life. Contractions were back to back i begged for pethadine which they did give me but it ended up being too late so it didnt work. Towards the end the erge to push was unbearable.

Guessing around 9:40pm the midwife checked me again and i was 10cm finally i could start pushing. The doctor was called then the midwives noticed that her heart rate was dropping after every contraction, they gave me oxygen to help her. After a short time of pushing the doctor had to use the vaccum extractor to help me get her out.

When i pushed her head out they found that the cord was wrapped around her neck! Then with one more push she was out!! yes

This next bit is still abit blurry so i'll do my best. They put her on my chest but she was having trouble taking her first breath so they took her to a trolley were they gave her some oxygen. She finally started to cry.

So there you go.... Grace Evelyn Ball was born on the 18th December, 10:08pm and weighed 6lb 3oz. I was in labour for only 5 hrs!!!!

Well shes hungry again so i will have to post pics later!!

shar!! Smile

Congratulations!! I can't wait to see pics ^^ and I don't think you forget, more that you just don't care lol. My first labor was only about 3 and a half hours long, but it was the MOST painful 3 hours in the history of labor. With my next baby I just got the epidural haha. Good job!!
