ok a few weeks ago,i had a argument with my friend.and when she walked away i suddenly became very lightheaded and i was unable to breathe propery and i was gasping for air, and all i wanted to do was cry, but i couldnt cause i was too busy trying to breathe, but i was desparate to cry at the same time, and i was just in pain. was that a panic attack?
it gradually passed away. it happend before when i was much younger, when i got lost and i was scared i was never going to find home again.

i also suffer from frequent panic attacks!
Mine come on when i least expect it,and for no apparent reason.
I tend to just feel extreamly paniced, frighted, hard to breathe and all i want to do is just to jun outside and get "cool" i normal just have to move out of the room and stick my head out of the window and drink cool water slowly, not fast as i found it worsend the situation.

If you can feel one comming on though just take deap beathes and think about somthing else,do something else anything...i know its hard at the time to think about anything else but if you remove your self from the "panic" situation it may help,as it does for me!

take care and keep calm!

panic attacks
Panic attacks are real, even though some people even doubt their existence. For those of us that have suffered from anxiety we know it to be true, and finding cures for panic attacks seems to be few and far between.

Cbt is great for panic anxiety and depression but remember you have to do the exercises everyday so it does take a lot of work and self discipline. I still do the tea form exercise that I learned in the book by sam obitz daily and the thought processes that eliminate panic and anxiety do become ingrained over time. You can get rid of them as I am living proof of that Smile
