Possible to be Anorexic and Bulimic? Posted: 12-21-07 15:44pm
heya,
I am 13 and already I have lost 2 people
very close to me. I began 2 skip meals.
Then I just began to stop eating at all. I
also began to self harm (read my other
posts if you want more information or ask)
But recently I have been basically force
fed by my best friends because they think
they are helping me. But I simply throw it
back up. Is this bulimia?
I really do h8 my self image and its
really hard for me not 2 show it. I can go
a long time not eating & my friends
all think I am getting too thin, but I
don't see what they are talking about. I
am worried though because my friends think
I am genuinely ill and I am asking for
help...for them not for me. I weigh about
5stone but i dance alot and I have
convinced myself that it's the sport
taking off the weight. I feel constantly
dizzy...are these side affects?
I don't trust my doctor and I don't know
where I can go for help!
Please can someone help me. I am in a
routine of criticizing myself and I can't
stop.
Please reply as soon as possible because I
need 2 do this for my friends and for
Danny and Gemma (RIP)
Thankyou for reading this & I wouldn't
be surprised if you didn't bother to reply
to me because like my class you probably
think I'm a stupid 13 year old . But if
you do reply I thank you so much for
spending your time on me!

I think most girls hate their self image,
you just have to accept your natural body
shape. I still have my odd day where I
hate my body, at the moment I do
>_>; But in the end it's media and
most men's fault of women's self concious
of their bodies.
It does sound like you are suffering from
anorexia and bulimia. If you say you weigh
5 stone, you need to put on some weight,
depending on your height, unless you're
like 4 foot or something small like that,
it isn't normal. Force feeding isn't going
to help you put on weight, its probably a
bad solution, I used to be force fed, to
the extent I would refuse eating at all.
You just have to try and eat small meals
and gradually build up your weight, eat
like a low fat breakfast sort of like
Weetabix and skimmed milk, or special K
cereal (it taste lovely <3), snacks eat
like fruits/ vegetables or crackers and
eat whatever you are given for dinner,
just ask your parent's if you can have a
smaller portion, not something ridiculous
like one pea or something, a full meal.
Drink lots of water, water does help burn
off some calories, also drinking herbal
teas helps boost the metabolism, and if
you can handle it, black coffee without
sugar.
I'm basically giving you advice to gain
weight, its up to you to deal with your
poor body image, but being anorexic isn't
a nice thing, and means that you can not
enjoy the pleasures of foods you like
without thinking that its gonna make you
fat. And a fact which I read somewhere,
something like you body uses up 60% of the
calories you intake without the need of
excersize and stuff. Don't hold me to that
but it's a statistic like that or
something.
