Q: the Global Warming Debate

Most people can agree the Globe is warming. But what is causing this? For the past ten or so years, CO2 has been blamed and in conjunction, the human race. The research below isn't new. It has been silenced. You've never heard these things before, because these scientists were banned from the UN Climate Hearings. These scientists are not debating the existence of Global Warming. They dispute the human influence. It's good research and it makes a heck of a lot of sense. I was a huge global warming activist, but always with the true skeptic's mind. It took me a long time to be convinced by the research. Now I see I may not have been wrong after all. It's strange to think that the 10th grade paper I wrote 8 years ago is suddenly relevant again Wink I got a C on that paper because it didn't "jive" with the liberal agenda. I know how these scientists feel.

That's a very interesting study and webpage. I also did not know that there was a minority page and a majority page like that. Thank you for posting it.

I read a little ways down on the minority page and found the article that states that any attempt to change the pattern of global warming as it continues to unfold is "futile" and the UN should..."equip nations to become resilient to the full range of these natural phenomena by promoting economic growth and wealth generation." I'll leave it up to whomever to interpret that as they may.

Yeah, there's a lot of information on it. I haven't read all of it yet myself; it's a several day process or I just get over loaded XD

Very Interesting, Eiri. I had heard of this before, but was unsure if it was legit.

I still think the 'green' movement is a good one. It can't be good for us to be spouting out all those toxins in the air... why not find alternatives?

The climate of this planet has changed many many times over its history; the latest 'ice age' occured in medieval europe; now we are on a warming trend; again that happens alot too.
I found a great web site Here about climate change from a very reputable source. I think going green; conserving our resources; using renewable resources; using the sun and wind for power are all great ideas. Lets keep our planet green.

Oh I agree we should be looking for alternatives. We just don't need to waste money forcing people to reduce emissions. We should do it anyway, but I heard a nasty rumor that the green movement intended to redistribute the world's money somehow. Don't know if I believe it but throwing it out there. I'd need more research and proof of that.

There are interesting facts about Kyoto and the countries involved. From what I've seen, the countries that signed have actually increased their CO2 emissions the most since the singing, and America has increased less!

I just had a conversation about this this morning with my mother who is never really much of an alarmist, but apparantly she has been up for a couple of days, unable to sleep because she is thinking about how drastically we would have to change to create the impact needed to reverse this process. She believes, as i do, that many many people will simply be unwilling to make the changes needed, which will indeed be sweeping and drastic and by the time people are ready to come around, it will be far too late. I ssadly imagine an apocyliptic (sp??) future where those who have FOOD are the ones who are wealthy, while those unable to eek out an existence will panic and begin looting, killing, and rioting to get what they need. I am very sad, because I believe this is the inevitable path if people don't take some serious steps away from the present course. Unfortunately, I don't have much faith in mankind from what i have seen thus far. I feel sad that my children will have a very different future from what we have had in the past century.

Doesn't it blow your mid how many changes have occurred in the last 200 years as far as automation and technology that has brought people so far away from the simplest survival issues such as the ability to grow one's own food and preserve it, how to find water, how to cook over a fire, etc etc? It's mind boggling to me.
