I went for an abortion on the 19th of nov . after 2 weeks I went for my check up which was on 5th of dec and the gynae found some remaining pieces of tissue while doing an ultrasound scan. So the gynae suggested me to go for a 2nd abortion to be on the safe side. Yes I went and everything was normal after the surgery as in no bleeding, no cramps no backaches n ect.

Lately Ive been having a dark brown color discharge since 17th dec. looks like some dirt coming out from the vagina.
Im very worried about it..im not sure if this is normal .. need some advice..Thank you

Re: After Abortion Effects??
If you had the second abortion, then the bleeding could be from that. You didn't mention when you had the second procedure done, but I believe you can bleed for up to 3-4 weeks afterward. I bled lightly for only a few days after my abortion, but then about 4 weeks later, I had one day of brown spotting. If you are still concerned after a few days, call your doctor.

This may be a little TMI, but my sister gets what you described as "dirt looking" discharge some months when she is ovulating. ( except she described hers as brown boogies lol) It freaked her out the first time, but the doctor assured her it was normal. You may be ovulating.
