Sad Im really scared right now. My mood normally stays the same for at least an hour or two before it changes, but lately my moods have been so rapid, i cant keep up with them. My mood feels like its changing every 5 minutes, its really hard to handle. I feel like one second im happy, and the next i could burst into tears. I havent been this way since before i started medication a year ago, and even then it wasnt this rapid Confused . I did just start a new med 2 weeks ago, im wondering if its making things worse. idk, i'll shut up now, i just needed to vent a lil Smile

Sounds like a rough time. I was diagnosed with Bipolar I seven years ago. I knew that I wasn't "right" for a long time, but did not know what it was. After diagnosis, I have tried just about every med available. Luckily for now my meds are doing "fair". Just had recent hysterectomy, so that has thrown me into another frenzy. If you don't mind me asking, would you care to share what meds your doctor has you on?

My moods change on a dime too and I am being successfully treated with meds. If someone says something hurtful, I can hit the bottom of my range or if I loose a pound, I can think I am invinsible, but it may just be whether or not you can still manage your life or if this is disruptive or not.

Tell your doctor about it- your medication may have to be altered.
