This is for the moms, just a little issue, maybe some help from someone? I'm an only child, I'm close to 20 and Ive been home for the holidays. for the past id say year and half or so ive had spells of absolutly not being able to stand even being in the same room with my mom. She seems so desperate to hang out with me that i find her desperatness just infuriating. Does this make me a bad person? I wish i could sand her but i ant help it. sometimes its not bad and i like to be with her but most of the other times i just want to put her in closet for a week. If there are any moms out there than can give me some input Im all ears, just thought it was an interesting and bit sad topic.

Okay first you find out what is the actual reason for you not to be able to stand her? After that you try to work out from there go slow don't expect thing to change over night though take 'baby step' aftwerwards if you have tried and still the same leave it to fate, at least you've tried and you won't feel as bad, it's better to try then to surrender even before trying. Good luck.

It's been a while since I posted this one, and over this time I'm pretty sure I've figured it out. Life. I'm an only child, so me about to leave for college had her on "I want my baby to stay i nthe nest" overdrive. I've bee away from home for about 6 months now and it's gotten way better. She really just needed to let me grow up on my own, it was a rough little while with her but I think we both figured it out. Plu my dad and I got her a puppy before I left haha.

I'm glad you worked things out. I am a mom to an only child, she is 10 now. I am already dreading going through the ordeal you've been through. We can't help it if we love you kids to pieces, lol!
