I was hoping someone could give me some advice. I am a 27 year old who smokes half a pack a day and the ocasional joint, not to mention I drink as well. I know i'm not in the best shape and by eliminating these factors would have a significantly positive result and better my health. I recently went to the doctor with back pain, and had blood work done. The doctor was concerned because she found lipids in my blood and traces in my liver. She also told me I have High blood pressure. I was wondering if someone could tell me wether or not this is relatively common with peopple in my age bracket. Also I would greatly appreciate any advice on diet and lifestyle.

Alcohol can cause and aggravate the high blood pressure.
Two cigarettes can raise your readings by about 10 mm Hg systolic and 8 mm Hg diastolic.
Cigarettes have chemical and mechanical effect on your blood vessels and the result is narrow, plagued blood vessels.
Having hypertension at age of 27 is not common at all.
What have you been suggested by your doctor?
When you gonna have your next check up?
