(cnn) -- the body of a 29-year-old pregnant woman, abducted when she interrupted a burglary at her mother's augusta, georgia, home, was found sunday, and a suspect was arrested for her death, a county sheriff's inspector said.


Tamara dunstan's body was found in edgefield county, south carolina, across the savannah river from augusta, georgia.


A richmond county inspector said that ronald burke of augusta had been arrested and charged with homicide and kidnapping.


Dunstan had taken wednesday off from her job and was shopping at a target store around 3 p.M. When she last spoke with her mother, tamara's father-in-law, bernard dunstan jr., told cnn.


About 5 p.M., tamara's mother returned home to find her daughter's car parked outside and some items missing from the home, dunstan said.


A law enforcement source close to the investigation said signs of a struggle indicated that the woman's disappearance was an abduction. He did not specify what those signs were.


The fbi and police from three counties -- using bloodhounds and a helicopter -- searched the area.


Tamara's husband, bernard dunstan iii, was at his job as a contractor during the afternoon and is not considered a suspect, his father said. "we found out easter eve she was three months' pregnant," he said.


The family offered a $25,000 reward for her safe return, he said.


Tamara was a nurse and worked with children who had cancer.


"she's an angel of a person, the nicest person you could ever know," said her cousin, gwinn bruns.
