I was just about to hit process order on the Colonix site when I started reading this forum and you guys scared me off. I actually did try Colonix a couple of years ago and returned it because nothing really seemed to be happening.

I then healed myself of IBS, constipation, acne and excess weight by doing a pretty massive cleanse on my own, drinking only green drinks and lots of water and some fruits and vegetables for several weeks. I took lots of ground flax seeds and some psyllium, and took Primal Defense, a probiotic from Garden of Life. I took lots of supplements too, some cleansing herbs like cascara and senna I think, and found that flax seed oil and especially primrose oil worked miracles. Oh, and I can't forget about coconut oil! It's wonderful too. I cut out all sugar, milk products, all white foods, rarely ate any flours (if I did have flour it was only spelt and tried to make sure it was sprouted), and I went for a few colonic irigations. The results were spectacular - I dropped weight incredibly fast, slept like a baby, and had the softest skin all over ever - even my husband noticed. It was great.

Except that then Christmas came, and someone left a box of shortbreads in the back room at my work. That started my decline, and I feel like I have been addicted to sugar ever since then. I have started out so many days vowing to cleanse again, only to get to 11am and have such powerful cravings for cookies or chocolate that I just give in and say I'll do it tomorrow. Now two years later, I am back on many foods I know I shouldn't (although I do stay away from white flour). I've put all the weight back on, have skin problems, and my IBS has returned, although it's not as bad as it was.

So I've been looking for something that will kickstart me back to where I was able to give up sugar without a problem, and thought of Colonix. After reading the warnings here I hesitated, and then remembered the Perfect Cleanse from Garden of Life that I read about on Dr. Mercola's site and thought I'd try it since I usually respect his opinion and it's much, much cheaper (and shorter) than Colonix. I'm hoping that this may get me over that urge to binge on sugar.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions or experience with Perfect Cleanse?
