I am about to go on Yaz, and I am confused. My doctor said that I could start the pill. I just had my period though do I really have to wait a month?

No you can start it whenever you want. You will be protected after seven days.

If you start on your period, you will be protected immediately and your cycle will stay a little more regulated. That's the only real benefit. You can actually start whenever you want, and your body will adjust.
