Different Kinds of Depression
It's nice to have a positive outlook on life. But there is a difference in having a depression based on outer experiences and one that totally comes from within because of chemical screw ups in your brain. So yes, if you are depressed because of life circumstances, you should be able to pull through. For the rest of us, it isn't as simple as that Sad

Agreed
I was about to write... But jeanet beat me to it! Hit the nail on the head there. Situational Depression (ie. loss of a loved one, job, finances, etc) is much much different from Clinical/Biological Depression in which, most of us, can't see the light at the end of the tunnel and can't turn their thinking around. Trust me, if we could, we would. But some of us can not. It is what we try to do and try to understand on a daily basis... The "you can do anything if you put your mind to it" is not always true. Until most of us are stable and feeling well on meds, it is impossible to do almost anything...
