Pregnancy Test...

i took one tonight and think the test area
was underexposed. it was a plus or minue
test where either a positive or negative
sign appears on the left and a vertical
control line appears on the right...
the result was a faint negative line on
the left and no control line on the
right.
thoughts?

maybe i didn't do it long enough? ugh. i
threw away the package insert so I cant
even look it up.
guess i didn't immerse it long enough?

a generic drugstore one....it was a plus/
minus one...
its just weird how the one negative line
showed up but the control line didn't....

if not you did it wrong probably

Mid 20s..
I actually just got off BCP a couple
months ago...didn't get my period for 3
months...
Then, i took Plan B, which can trigger
your period...its been like 5 weeks since
i am a week late which doesn't mean much
for me...but i want to see what the test
says bc i used nothing and it was only 5
days after period ended...
not sure if that makes any sense....but
that is what happened..

i would suggest getting a more expensive
preg. test that reads "pregnant" or "not
pregnant" they usually come with two in
there so you can verify. it is more
common to have a false negative than a
false positive. if the test didnt have
the control line, it doesn't mean you did
it wrong, it may be that the test was a
dud, it's happens. good luck with
whatever you want most. i am 11 weeks
pregnant with my first child, unexpected
but welcome.

If the control line didn't appear but the
cross line did, then YOU didn't do
anything wrong at all; the TEST is clearly
defective.
This is rare. You don't need to go all
fancy, just go get a pack that has several
tests in it. peeonastick.com is really
cool and has a ton of info!
