Hi, I have recently had an endoscopic craniotomy for fenestration of an arachnoid cyst. I'm unable to contact my doctor to ask him some questions so hopefully you are able to help. After the operation, I noticed I had a small indent in my head about 5cm by 5cm around where the tiny hole in the bone was made. I'm not sure but I think the indent isn't caused by bone removal but rather by tissue removal. I think the pericranium was removed and I'm just wondering why so much was removed around the small hole in the bone? How long does it take for the pericranium to regrow and how does it regrow? Does it regrow from the bone, the remaining pericranium, or the inside of the skin? I hope you are able to help me. Thanks
