Q: Nesting?

when does the urge to nest usually kick in?

i don't remember ever feeling that way with finn, but we were also staying with my parents at the time and i didn't want to go cleaning their house. then by the time we moved into our condo i was on bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy.

i'm only 24 weeks, but these past few days i've just been in cleaning mode. i keep the counter cleared of dishes at all times, i empty the dishwasher the minute it finishes, i empty the dryer as soon as it finishes (before i'd just let the clothes sit in there and take what i needed when i needed it), i'm constantly wiping the counters and floor. i even emptied everything out of my kitchen cabinets and reorganized it all. when i finish something i look around until i find something else to work on.

i'm out of control! not that being tidy is a bad thing, it's just not my normal mode.

I thought it kicked in at the end of pregnancy.....but I could be wrong.

You can come to my house, I've got plenty to work on!

i'd probably be tearing my closet apart right now if finn wasn't in bed trying to go to sleep!

I was napping earlier and thought about tearing my closet apart and reorganizing. But that's all it was, just a thought.

I still haven't felt it, I'm 39 weeks and 2 days.

I nested from around 29 weeks on with Ava. We had just moved into our new house though and it made me nervous that I wouldn't have things ready. I cleaned and organized like a crazy person. I remember staying up late sweating I'd cleaned so much at least 2 days out the week.

I never got that when I was pregnant, I think it went into overdrive for me after I had Kaylee though. It's still bad to this day, I'll stay up to 3am just to be able to wake up to a clean house the next mornin! Of course it never stays that way which makes me want to go crazy again cleaning every little thing all throughout the day everyday! I'm horrible about it. I think I have OCD!

up until recently my house was a wreck. it got away from me when i was practically bedridden with morning sickness, then i did a massive cleaning for the wedding when we had company and days later it was a mess again so i gave up. i'm finally getting back in the swing of things and i feel relieved. i used to get overwhelmed just looking at the dining room table piled high with crap.

I remember nesting hit me at about 20 weeks and lasted for several weeks. I'm 38 weeks now and once in a while I get the urge to go cleaning like crazy.
