ever since i lost my job, i'v felt strange, i was sick recently with a cold, i had it for over 2 weeks, which was unusual. now each day i get tired and fall asleep for a few hours.

i'm 26 physicaly fit, slim and healthy (as far as i know) i just keep getting tired, so i lay down, then the next thing i know iv had 3-4 hours kip and i'm fully clothed laying arkwardly on my bed wonderng how i got there. could i have some advice please, i know this might not sound serious, but i never used to be this tired in the afternoon, i'm just concerend.

Maybe your cold sapped your immune system and you're just slowly recovering. Depression over losing your job could also cause you to feel down and tired. You don't have to be clinically depressed to have some of the symptoms.

Also, if you are not active on a regular schedule, your body sometimes gets sluggish.

If the sleepiness persists, then perhaps a trip to the doctor would be indicated.

Maybe Mono..go to your doc....I to would go sleep for hours during the day and in classes. After week I felt terrible and developed fevers, night sweats, etc...find out I had mono..so get checked out..

Bunch of reasons can lead to fatigue and unwarranted tiredness. Plenty of nutrients that you could be lacking that can contribute to you feeling tired all the time. Stress, yadda yadda, could be a bunch of things. Go to your doctor and explain it to him in fuller detail then what you told us, you haven't given nearly enough evidence for anybody here to give you a accurate answer.
