For the past six months or so i have noticed that sometimes when i lean down or raise my arm my external jugular vein kind of bulges a little bit. nothing like if it were to pop out but you can see it. this is on my left side of the neck. i have read that this is nothing to worry about and that it is normal on people. i'm still concerned though since i'm not sure what it is. i have high blood pressure and i'm on medication for it. could this be causing it to bulge sometimes?? is this something i shoud worry about?? please let me know... thanks a lot...

I never heard of high blood pressure causing a bulge in the neck. Is your high blood pressure under control? I would ask you doctor the next time you see him.
