This was a first for me... Im wondering, is it possible for a nightmare to trigger a panic attack? I had a bad nightmare last night, and from that point on, Ive been having major anx attacks and panic attacks. Obviously different triggers can bring on a panic attack, but a nightmare?

Yes! Maybe not even the nightmare, but your body's response to the nightmare, the racing heart, sweating, shallow breathing, etc. that happen when you're scared.

These body reactions can cause a panic attack.
