After I get well. I would like to live with people. Where I from, I got 2 roomates waiting me to go back as soon I got recover.

I got experiance with shrink since 1998. No matter I got dump by one of them by 2003. I got a new name that I could go visit.

I will try my best to be more positive. No more day dreaming. I will never post or set up a web site again. Nor chat.

During the sympton I did thinking to hurt myself. As I got taught the brain with a trash can. Dump the un-present thinking into it and never touch the thought as got delete it.

At the beginning was hard to set up the imagine of a trash can. Now I could control.

I don't think the schizophrenia will come back again. Unless my mother pass away. I never thought about it :(

having friends is a good thing while you recover. Sometimes you want a distraction, so that what you are doing doesn't seem like work. Also, posting or setting up a web site sounds fun and can relieve being alone. Also daydreaming, you are in control but I guess you should hold back a bit for now.

if you have problems putting all of it in the trash can, you need to learn that it is only your thoughts and don't mix it with your emotions. Don't care about it. Ignore it if you can. Once the negative thoughts go away, put your emotions back. :)

how to get off meds(for you):

gradual withdrawal is very important. In your case, I would decrease the dose by .25mg every two weeks. Eliminate the morning dose first. So you should be taking only .25mg in the morning and 1mg at night. Two weeks later, no morning dose and 1mg at night. Two weeks later, only .25mg at night. Two weeks later, no more medication. However, if you notice sensations in your brain, like brain cramps (feels like muscle cramps), you need to go back on the previous dose a little longer. Write it down in a journal so you will remember. You need to know at what dose you feel the sensation and what dose you will not feel the sensation. If 1mg stops the sensation, then I think you can live with the sensations. Go down. The sensations should decrease over time but if it gets worse you will probably need to take the meds longer. Take precautions if the hallucinations come back. Try for the next five months to be very active,don't stay home so much. Do some jogging, hiking, and get a hobby you love doing. Fill me in on how you are doing, maybe I can help if you need some advice.

I grow up at costa rica, back to taiwan for better attention of doctors. People here were afraid of schiz patient. U can't find same forum as this at taiwan internet.


If I remain at costa rica. I won't be cure so fast. I might be talking to myself again and with high dosis of risperdal.


I'v been visit 2 group of doctors. First one told me to take high doses of risperdal 3 to 6 mg daily. The second group said take 1.5 mg. So I could be free of those side affect.

I don't have 幻覺hallucinations. I got abnormal speech, this part been cure by sending e-mail around, all got return back. Could said i'd woke up at this part.

schizophrenia forums? Do you post continuesly telling people to stop taking their medication? This is extremely dangerous. Members should not be asking this member how to stop taking their medication, they should be speaking to the doctor who is medically trained in this and not some random person on the internet.

Also, not everyone on this site is from the usa, so you cannot possibly make any judgement regarding other countires psychiatry if you do not have any experience with them.

I am schizophrenic and take medication. It has not been an easy road adn I have had several medications and it took several months to find one that works for me. This has helped me greatly and I can now function day to day, where are before I could not.

Its been an awful few years, this last year having psychiatric treatment, but now my medication is osrted I can move on with my life rather than stuck in my psychosis and paranoi and I am now going to college to improve my lfe.

Medication has been a god send to me and it is to millions of people.

Do not stop taking medication, stop reading to much rubbish people post on internet as a lot of it is scaremongering.

There are over twenty ways to get symptoms of schizophrenia. Psychiatrists first approach is to give dangerous medications which has been known to cause frontal lobe shrinkage as well as other damages in the brain and body that can be irreversible. I'm for alternative treatments like psychotherapy. Books like soteria, dante's cure, mad in america, your drug may be your problem ..., gives enough evidence it works and is safer for your health. I hardly go to internet forums on schizophrenia. Relax. :) I know eventually the truth will spread that there are alternative treatments that are more successful! Sources are everywhere if one cares to search.

P.S. Jei was diagnosed with schizophrenia because he was over sensitive to his father's death which caused symptoms. Now he is able to cope and is symptom free. Is the medication really necessary? Of course not!!!!

for some though the alternative treatments wouldn't work, some of us would be dead without our medication.
