A lump found under the armpit could represent several things such as a hair root infection (furunculus), an infected loin gland cyst (atheroma), a swollen lymph node, a tumor, etc. Pain could also point to an infection. You can consult your GP for examination which will include an inspection and palpation of the affected area for a more precise diagnosis and information about treatment alternatives.
