Q: Sore on Eye

For about a week or so I've had a problem with a sore like something on the side of my eye. It burns and sometimes when I feel it, it feels like it has a little scab on it. IDK what's up with it but it's very annoying. It seems like it all started after I went to get a rx for glasses. But the only thing she did was spray air in my eyes. Has this happen to anyone? Should I be worried about it?

Is it on your actual eyeball or the skin around your eyes?

If it's around your eyes it's probably just a pimple. If it's ON the eye I'd go to a hospital immediately.

If it's on the SKIN then it's really nothing to worry about. Styes are only bad when they're on the actual eyeball. I'd keep the area clean for a week or so and resist touching it. Dab it gently with a washcloth and soap to clean and pat dry with a towel. If there's no improvement on its own, then go to a doctor.

had a blister on my eyeball about a year ago. called my pcp. she referred my to an ophthalmologist who had me come in right away. he burned it off. really hard to keep your eye open with a red hot poker coming at your eyeball. As he did it, i flinched a bit and it burned the edge of my upper eyelid. now i have a little space with no eyelash. a little dab of eyeliner hides it.
