Stephen and my parents dont see eye to eye.

Something happened xmas last year and stephen is still holding a grudge about it.

My predicament is that i need my mum to be there at the birth for support and because they are both on a pension cant really afford a motel room especially when they really dont know how long i'm going to be in labour for. So.... they have to stay at our house!! Shocked

although common sense would probably tell stephen that they will be staying here, i havent as such told him that they are staying!! I'm too scared too! scared

I dont need this s##t over my head right now!!! I know that mum and dad are going to be pissed cause stephen will probably never be there and stephen will be pissed cause they are there in general.

I only have till tomorrow to tell him!! Hes been so wonderful the past week and i dont want that to go away!!

The whole situation f#*ken sucks (excuse the french)!!!!!!!! Mad

i'm thinking about paying for a motel room for them!!

At least then i will have someone in town close by at all times instead of both stephen and my parents a half hour away at my house!

Does that sound ok? would you take it the wrong way if you were my parents?

Talk to your mom and dad about it. Ask them what they'd rather do... lay it all out on the table and tell them they are more than welcome to stay at your home, but since they and your husband don't really get along, if they'd be more comfortable having you pay for them to stay elsewhere you fully understand and are fine with it!

I like you would want things to just go smooth at this point so if that means you feel the need and would like to pay for a hotel for them, I'd say go for it. Smile I wouldnt want drama going on right now in my pregnancy, I'm at 38 weeks lol so I can relate. Totally up to you, do what you think is best regaurless of w/e anyone else might think, after all your the prego one! Very Happy Besides, if you need to explain to anyone, they should understand...

Sounds like my mom >.o

Well, if she's going to throw a fit either way, might as well keep the drama to a minimum and keep them away from your husband as much as possible. Go for the motel, if you can afford to.

I am assuming Stephen is your better half , right?

I can;t imagine letting my mother stay in a motel ....You should really speak to Stephen . This is your mother and he has to come to terms with the fact that she will alwasy be a part of your life and yoru childs as well. Family is family and they all come attached with some sort of CACA .
What would make you most happy? tell Stephen what it is and work on it and just deal with it. Good Luck.

yep stephen is my other half!!

I've been thinking about it and want someone there close by at all times.

What if something was too happen and both stephen and my parents were half an hour away on the farm?

at least if mum and dad were in town they could be there in 5 minutes!!!

plus another thing is that i would probably spend all day tomorrow stressing that the house is up to my mothers standards! She's a very complicated women my mum!!!!
