that really depends--first off you need to be evaluated by an nmd. if your joints are deteriorating and you need new joints then you may need to look into surgery----Im not quite sure why your topic title is surgery and nmd as your question had nothing to do with it.

there are really no tell tale signs---if you try it and it doesnt work well you go on to the next step or whatever is suggested that you try.

ahh yes the title was a little off i know i am sorry....but i have been kind of freaking out a bit lately, you see i am only 17 years old, and i am jusrt starting out with the NMD i have final testing to be done on the 27th,

ok at such a young age what are the chances that the NMD won't be that effective?, I want to let you know...the pain i feel is not unbearable...but it definetly takes a toll on me. more like an aggravation on the side of my face

i honestly cant tell you that---From what you have told me about your tmd I think you have a good chance of it working. remember--and i hope that it gives you some confidence and reassures you ----nmd has a 99.9% success rate. They will do all they can to help you---beleive me --i speak from experience---Im still getting help---they are more family to me than doctors--if you have questions or fears or anything--ask or talk to them--they will help you.

i think that the fact that you are young is in your favor. if i had gone in sooner i firmly beleive that it wouldnt have taken me this long to get releif.

this is probably normal for you with tmd---I dont think you can over smile. I have weird noises too. Its just one of those things that come with tmd--keep smiling and bringing that little ray of sunshine to those around you.
