I have having a problem with my breasts leaking, and I am not pregnant. The first time that it happened it had some blood in it, now it is usually either white, or clear but very sticky. I went to the doctor, and he could not feel any lumps, but told me to wait 3 months to see a specialist. After reading everything about clear sticky discharge, I am nervous to wait. What are the possible causes, should I be scared? Sad

Hi!
Is the fluid leaking from both breasts?
Have you been told to make endocrine tests (testing for hormone prolactin)?
Are you taking birth pills or other meds (Prozac)?
Did you have lab tests of the discharge?
Can you ask for a mammogram?

Knowing the signs and symptoms of breast cancer may help save your life. When the disease is discovered early, you have more treatment options and a better chance for a cure.

Most breast lumps aren't cancerous. Yet the most common sign of breast cancer for both men and women is a lump or thickening in the breast. Often, the lump is painless. Other potential signs of breast cancer include:

A spontaneous clear or bloody discharge from your nipple, often associated with a breast lump often sticky.
Retraction or indentation of your nipple
A change in the size or contours of your breast
Any flattening or indentation of the skin over your breast
Redness or pitting of the skin over your breast, like the skin of an orange

You've probably noticed that one of your symptoms is on here.. it may be another cause but I recommend to see the doctor again.

Most nipple discharges are completely harmless and are associated with hormonal imbalances, but having spontaneous nipple discharge (comes out by itself without squeezing), clear and sticky, white, or bloody, that keeps on happening, and is only on one side, is something that needs more serious medical attention.
