Eyewitness Accounts Confirm Arson In Abortion Clinic Fire

POSTED: 11:26 am MST December 7, 2007
UPDATED: 7:34 pm MST December 7, 2007

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- An eyewitness tells fire authorities about two hooded persons who broke a window and threw a gas can into an abortion clicnic that caught fire Thursday night.

Local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies are investigating a fire at the office of Curtis Boyd, M.D., an abortion provider in Albuquerque.

The fire occurred at Dr. Boyd's clinic at 801 Encino Place near the University of New Mexico hospital around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

Albuquerque Fire Department said a witness saw two persons in hooded jackets break a window on the west side of the clinic. The witness called out to them. The two hooded persons then moved to another window on the building's south side and threw a gas can into the building and a small fire started at that point. The two persons drove away in a square black van.

After several hours of investigating, AFD confirmed that the witness saw an arson in progress. AFD is working closely with ATF and FBI on this case.

According to a statement from the National Abortion Federation, there have been seven murders, 17 attempted murders, 41 bombings, 100 butyric acid attacks, 656 anthrax threats, and 175 arsons against abortion providers since 1977, including Thursday's Albuquerque incident.

The clinic incurred severe fire damage to one room and smoke damage throughout, but crews say the building is not a total loss. No one was inside at the time. Staff at the clinic is still answering the phone and seeing patients at another undisclosed location.

Boyd has been practicing in the Southwest region for more than 22 years.

If you have any information on this case please call Crime Stoppers at 843-STOP, ATF at 346-6917 or the Arson Hotline at 872-1493.

Its so obvious in the arson and terrorist tactics they use...

This behaviour is unexcusable but no where in the eye witness accounts does it state pro lifers were involved in this attack also a real pro lifer would not try to take a life of another person you usualy find that clinic bombers are anti abortion not pro life there is a world of difference between the 2

The situation isn't funny and I'm not trying to make light of it, but this sentence is hilarious.

Self proclaimed prolifers erick rudolph, paul hill, michel griffith, shelly shannon, robert fergunson, neil horsely, wagner, and on and on and on all support killing others in the name of "prolife".

Bombings, arsons, kidnapping, acid attacks all support the risk that someone will be killed and have been used repeatedlu by the "prolife" movement.

Those who would not commit a violent act themselves but stand back and do not condem those in the movement that would or advocate such actions vicariously support the violence.

Those who claim to be non violent themselves but post addresses and maps to clinic workers homes on the web, are part of the violence (they enable the crazys).

The "prolife" movement has a history of violence. If you are a member or supporter then you are a supporter of a movement that has and does resort to violence.

The violence is not just the result of the extremists, it is the result of all those who stand back in the movement and allow it to go on.

I have always found it amazing how the movement can claim someone like paul hiss as their own until they are caught in a violent act then the movement attempts to put distance between them and the movement by disclaiming them as "really' part of the movement. That to me just shows how contemptuious most "pro lifers" are towards other people. It show how stupid you think the rest of society is that they would buy that denial.

They're not the only ones to use that tactic. It's fairly common everywhere you look nowadays.

The area code for New Mexico is 505. Try some New Mexico papers on the web for this story. It is legit.

Of course there is that worn out tactic of trying to blame the victim of the violence for "faking" it. Is that what you are trying to imply? Or are you simply saying you think the whole thing never happened?

As you stated in your post they are self proclaimed pro lifers real pro lifers would never advocate killing anyone the whole point of pro lifeisto stop premature death be it the unborn thesoldier the murderer or the elderly terminaly ill.

for someone to advocate the bombing/kiling/kidnapping of another goes against everything pro life stand for please don't confuse pro life with anti abortion terrorism.

Neither.. I really didn't know.. So it was not a worn out tactic is was a curious question. ANd how would one know the area code is 505 if they didn't post it?

now don't get me wrong and start yelling at me. And any amount is bad, but I really thought over the last 30 years these numbers would have been higher..

Area code are listed in phone books. The event is in Albequerque, which is in New Mexico. So you would look up that area code.

In your post you stated "it sort of sounds like it was had up" I figured that it was a typo and you ment: it sort of sounds like it was made up. That sounds like you are trying to claim it is false.

If I misread you perhaps you could explain you post more clearly.
