have any cheap or at home remedies for dry skin on your face? I feel like my face is going to peel right off! I have a cream that I used to always use but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick anymore.

Ahhh I have this great recipe for a homemade cream, it's bananas and honey.

Let me find it for you Very Happy

-edit-

Ingredients:

* 2 medium bananas
* *honey optional

Directions:

Mash bananas with a fork...don't over mash or it will be too runny. Add honey if desired. Smooth over skin, let sit for 10 minutes, rinse off with cool water.

I put it on my elbows though, not my face Very Happy

This one's good too:

1/2 oz. Cocoa butter (melted)

1 oz. Orange juice (fresh is better)

2 capsules vitamin E (800 IU's)

1 oz. Warm olive oil

2 drops of Orange flower oil.

Mix all ingredients until smooth. This can be stored in a jar or bottle. Just apply to clean skin for a different, zesty moisturizer that won't clog your pores. This is a great all-natural moisturizer. *This lotion can be stored for up to a week.

its honestly not that bad at all.. its only a little more abrasive than those face cleaners that have exfoliants in them, and i don't have to worry about it clogging my pores like those cleansers do.

I use Neutragena oil-free wash. If my skin dries out, I use a tiny bit of regular lotion - as little as I can get away with.

I don't do anything.... when I'm on my period (or, now, when it's around the time for when I would have been on my period) my face gets oily and I wash once or twice with Aveeno face pads... but that's it.

Do not use a pumice stone on your face! Yikes.

There are plenty of exfoliant face products out there that don't cost a bundle.

You also don't have to spend a lot of money on lotions, etc. But do use lotion specifically for the face, like ponds or Oil of Olay or something. Body lotion is too heavy for the face and it will cause you to break out. Sad

STOP USING SOAP on your face. Use face specific gentle cleansers. Winter can be really harsh on skin.

-- Another tip: Always put lotion on your feet before you put your socks and shoes on. Your feet will be as soft as butta. I also nice smelling lotion on at bedtime. Smile

lol i cant use any of the exfoliating cleansers. they all clog my pores and make my face look horrible.. I was using a loofa, but it never worked all the way.. still left dry skin on my forehead and chin.. so i went for the next thing i could think of lol.. and my skin is like porcelain now, and feels fantastic.
