It's so weird, she gets them at a little after 2:30 and 9 AM every day. Very Happy

lol it's okay.

Interesting side note... I didn't know that you could have the hiccups in the womb. I always thought it had something to do with breathing, and I freaked out the first time she had the hiccups because I didn't know what they were. I was so worried that my stomach kept twitching! I called my OB and the nurse laughed at me Sad Laughing

They are 'breathing' in the amniotic fluid and they also gulp it. This causes those hiccups. It is great practice for after birth so all their parts are in working order Smile

Yeah, that all got explained to me... but I always assumed you needed air to hiccup, not just the movement. So when it first happened I freaked Very Happy

that's why i loved it. i was a paranoid freak with finn so it was nice having that constant hiccuping to reassure me that he was fine.

i guess i don't need the hiccups to reassure me with esme. the girl never stops moving!

Alyvia got hiccups 2 or 3 times every day Sad I hated it! I would always think "ugh, not again". She got hiccups a lot after she was born too! She's DEFINITELY the same baby I had in my tummy all those months!

I like them at first, they're cute... but then after 5 minutes my eye starts twitching to the same rhythm and holy moley is it annoying.

hiccups is just basically your diaphragm twitching. So of course when baby gets them, they don't make any noise. Because when we get them the sound you hear is the air passing quickly through your throat.

sorry, I like being technical, stupid habit.

I'm not sure if my baby gets hiccups, but baby sure likes to change positions A LOT. There was a 2 minute period one day where I swore baby was doing jumping jacks, but the doc said it's just changing positions, that's why it was so hard for her to find the heart beat Laughing
