Welcome to our community!

We define addiction as the state of being physically or psychologically dependent on a substance. We invite you to talk about addiction related themes, prevention and recovery here. We do not glorify or condone the use of drugs here, as we focus on recovery.

Feel free to address addition to commonly abused substances such as:

Alcohol
Amphetamines
Caffeine
Cocaine
Food
Hallucinogens (LSD, psilocybin, DMT, morning glory seeds)
Inhalants (solvents and aerosols)
Mescaline, MDA, PMA, STP
Narcotics
Opioids (opium, demerol, heroin, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, oxycodone, meperidine)

You are also welcome to discuss addictive behaviors here. Psychological dependence is not limited to narcotics, but may include the following common addictive behaviors (let us know if we've overlooked anything):

* Gambling
* Computer addiction
* Shopping addiction
* Food addiction
* Sex addiction and more ...
