I am a 19 year old male. I had protected oral sex with a sex worker at a brothel that is legalized in august 12 2007.I did a instant blood test at a sexual health centre on November 3 2007 and the results were negaive.

I was still afraid as i started developing acne and it would not go away after 2 weeks as previously my acne went away after a week normally. So i went to another clinic and did a HIV test,it was not a blood test but an oral test and the results were negative. This was 95 days after exposure.

But a week ago,i have noticed my tongue is a little white and there are red spots on it but they are not painful.I am really worried if i may HIV.Some websites say some people get HIV detected after 3 months and some after 6 months.

Am i at risk? Do i need to test again? Is a oral test accurate ? Why do some people only get detected after 6 mths?

Pls help me i am very stressed,i cannot concentrate on anything.

Saliva that does not contain blood presents no potential risk for HIV transmission.
Oral sex is classified as carrying negligible risk if a condom is used and as low risk if a condom is not used.
The risk of transmission of HIV (or other STIs) from any types of oral intercourse can be effectively reduced by the proper use of a latex barrier (condom or dental dam), and thus advocates the avoidance of unprotected orogenital or oro-anal contact.

Have you noticed a rash on your abdomen and the side of your chests?
Do you have flashed face?
Have you been taking antibiotics?

I think a latex condom was not used,it was Polyurethane condom if im not wrong. I started taking Erythromycin for the acne and since i started,i started getting light headedness and i read up on the net that it was a side effect of Erythromycin. I am a casual smoker and smoked too for the past 2 weeks, though not everyday.Consumed beer 3-4 times in the 2 weeks. I have no rash on my abdomen and side of chests.

Im sorry but what is flashed face?

Lab tests have shown that Polyurethane condom provides an effective barrier against sperm, bacteria, and viruses such as HIV.
Feeling light-headed or fainting is a serious side effect and you should stop using erythromycin.
I meant flushed face.
Do you still have white coating with red spots on your tongue?

I have stopped taking erythromycin already, how long do the effects last? it has been a week since ive stopped and the light headedness is still there but its slightly less now. The coating wasnt as white as white paint, its lets say 20% white? I did a oral HIV test and it was negative and my doctor said there was no need to do anymore but it hasnt been 6 months? She said the tongue's spots were tastebuds. I just hope i get better quickly.

Im sorry but what is meaning of flushed face?

Flushing face means involuntary skin redness of the face.
Erythromycin's elimination half-life is 1.5 hours, so , I don't think you should still have side effects.

Question
Hi, can a woman get HIV if she had unprotected oral sex done on her a few times, engaged in deep, prolonged french kissing, and had no underwear on herself and sat on a guy's penis(which was covered by his semen-soaked underwear), and got semen on her index finger, but wiped most if not all of it off, then grabbed her labia minora with that same finger? i don't know where t post this question, so someone help me here please?

it isn't very likely but if your worried get tested...its free and easy...a simple mouth swab and its over....go to your local clinic and its all anonymous. Good luck.
