Hi, I'm Taylor, I'm new to this forum, and have experienced anxiety and PAs for about 3 years now. At first, I went to the doctor's office frequently, and made 2-3 ER trips. However, they would always insist that it was anxiety. Every so often my GAD flares up, and I get extremely panicky, and it goes away. However, I've found that over time, I avoid going to the doctor's because I feel that they will just write it off as anxiety. IE: I've been having chest pain/under arm pain on my right side since this morning whenever I take a deep breath. But I won't go to the doctor's b/c I figure it may be written off. I feel like I'm doomed to die young of a heart attack or some other ailment b/c I won't go to the doctors, and if I do, it won't be considered. Anyone else feel like that?

That sounds like my panic attacks. I have the same feeling. Are you taking anything to control your attacks? That is the only thing that helped me. I started to become depressed very fast because I couldn't control the attacks anymore. I have found sometimes that happens with PA.
