asked by: DoctorQuestion on December 13th, 2007
Please help I have been told I am allergic to dust and maybe animals I have taken Telfast for about 4 to 5 years but the itchy throat and itchy nose drives me mad.
Me nose is always red and sore and the itching never stops.
I also get alot of white lumps out from the side of my throat that smell awlful.

General Q and A Answer A3482
The symptoms you report (itchy throat and nose for 4-5 years) in combination with your preexisting condition (asthma) and data about allergy to dust and animals make it likely that you could be experiencing a chronic inflammation of the nose and throat probably caused by allergy. You can request inhalation-corticosteroids to calm inflammation and you can also avoid all the substances that can cause allergy. In the meantime, you can chew/spray/take oral antiseptics and deodorants for treating the bad smell from the mouth.
